It was a chilly yet sunny Sunday where I spent my second day in Amsterdam with my dearest friends. I think it was the 28th of April 2013, two days before the country’s last Queen’s Day. I cycled and walked around the city. Love love love!
In the morning Mandy, Drew, and I visited Lindsay’s new place, Lindsay is Mandy’s little sister. The place is lovely, I imagined if I have my own place I would spend weeks to decorate it, nyahaha…

Ladies!
Then we went on with the bike to the city center! I captured some pictures, of course!
We parted ways for a few hours ’cause I had to meet up with Mbak Yoyen and Oppie, but after that I chased them back at the Museumplein (Museum Square). I love that square or should I say… big park in the center of Museumplein, so many people just lied down and chill, enjoying the sun and the breeze. Mandy even managed to get a nap! What was kinda interesting, I took a tram to the Museumplein and on my way I chit chatted with the driver, he was super friendly and perky, he talked with everyone who just got into the bus, and guess what? As soon as he asked me where did I come from, he started to speak Indonesian! Yes I know he looked rather Asian slash Indo-ish, but he could come from anywhere. He said he was originally from Malang but has lived in Amsterdam for 45 years, yet he still managed to speak our language fluently. I was really happy to finally be able to speak in my own language, even only for a few minutes. What a warm person he was, typical Indonesian! Hihi…
Okay so after I met up with Mandy, Drew, and new addition to the group, Chris, what did we do? We went for another (long) walk, I really got to see the city by doing this, which was great, and I felt really healthy ’cause I walked a lot (BUT HALOH TUKANG PIJET I MISS YOU 😆 ).
We were looking for a nice place to have dinner, and ended up at a crowded pasta place called Vapiano, food’s very good though! And then after we got some ice cream at the very famous… McDonalds! Nyahahaha… Ice cream on a chilly night, what a match… NOT. 😆
McDonalds time!
But.. as it was bloody cold at night, we finally got some coffee and tea… and uhm, beer 😆
Ice cream on a cold night. We love having a challenging life! 😆
And then we closed the night by doing another walk, heading back to Museumplein where we parked our bikes. Brrr… so cold! But it was a great day, I really loved it. And I think nobody understands how I miss this city… *brb cari beasiswa S2* 😆
Public toilet for men… yes… an open air one, careful before you drop your pants or we might have to check out your ass 😆
Then I’ve been really really bad 😆
I love Drew’s t-shirt so much I just had to take a picture of it
Until next post, baby!
